Social media for business

Using social media to reach and engage your customers should be an integrated part of your small business. It's very cost effective and it works.

This hands on half day workshop is aimed at non technical small business owners, entrepreneurs, directors, sales professionals and managers who need to get a grip of using social media quickly.

You will explore many of the key social sites like Twitter, Facebook, Linked-in, and Google+ as well as some of the key social media tools used by the professionals. You'll discover which will be most beneficial to your business and how to use and manage them effectively.

Pre-workshop Requirements

There are no pre-workshop requirements but you should have basic internet, PC and/or Mac skills.

  • Learn about why social media is important in digital marketing and how to plan for it.
  • You'll learn about the key social media platforms, the differences, how to exploit them and set up your profiles.
  • Learn which tools the Pro's use and how to use them to manage your social media activity.

Tools and materials

We will provide paper and either handouts or bookmark links for the workshop. Please bring along your own laptop or tablet and your log in information if you wish to use your own social profiles – we will provide WiFi access.
